Melting & Induction Casting for Silver

Silver is a common precious metal that is used to make a variety of items such as jewelry, technology, medical equipment, currency and much more.  Industries such as the medical, jewelry, and technological benefit from melting, annealing and casting silver alloys in order to create specific sized components for their applications.

RDO Induction offers multiple melting and heat-treating equipment, as well as induction casting, that are easy to use whether they are a novice or expert in melting silver. The precise temperature to melt silver is 1,763°F, and our equipment can reach temperatures over 2750°F to quickly melt down silver alloys. From pure silver to Sterling and Britannia silver, our melting and casting equipment machines can assist you in your applications when melting silver.

Melting & Smelting Equipment

The Shuttle Electric Melter is an electric melting & smelting furnace that is compact, portable, easy to use and ideal when melting smaller amounts of silver between up to 1kg. The furnace reaches up to a maximum of 2000°F to easily melt down silver within 45 minutes.

The EasyMelt Induction Bench Top Melter is a portable and fast melting electrical furnace for small batches of silver, up to 1kg.  Reaching a maximum temperature of 2400°F, this bench top melter melts down silver in approximately 10 minutes.

Our LC & S Lift and Pour Series Smelters are perfect for mid to larger volumes of silver from 2-8 kg. Using 5 to 12kW of power, this allows faster melt times of approximately 5-10 minutes.

The U-Melt Tilt Series is an advanced melting system used to melt larger volumes of silver and can be custom built to increase power depending on the application. Available in five standard models, the series is available in 15, 25, 50 100 and 150kW of power and can reach up to 2,750°F (1500°C).

Induction Casting for Silver

The EasyCast 12 Casting System is an induction casting system for all silver alloys that uses a 3kW heating generator to melt down and cast silver in a fully controlled atmosphere.  These systems are ideal for small design studios, retail jewelers, small to medium size manufactures and dental casting labs.

The SuperCast J Series Casting System uses a 4kW induction melting circuit and is produced with the exclusive Rotating Coil System (RCS), which keeps the metal under heat as it is being centrifugally injected into the casting flask (mold).  This system is also ideal for larger design studios, retail jewelers, along with small to medium size manufacturers.

The CS Series Casting systems use a 7.5kW (CS1 & CS2) and 10kW (CS3) melting circuits and handle larger melt volumes.  These systems are produced for higher volume jewelry manufacturers.
